President & Artistic Director

Catherine Errington

Catherine is from Ottawa and trained with Ottawa Irish Dance. Catherine is passionate about music and the arts. She holds a commerce degree and works in consulting at Accenture. She is applying her business knowledge and her experience in the non-profit sector to lead this company as the President. Through her dance career, Catherine trained in Canada, Ireland and England. In 2020, Catherine set out to create a collective of artists interested in pushing the boundaries of Irish dance and exploring it as a modern art form. Catherine is proud to be part of a contemporary company showcasing Canadian talent.

 

Head Choreographer

Ciaran Plummer

Ciaran is from Toronto, Ontario and trained with the Plummer Academy. Ciaran is known for his upbeat choreography and intricate rhythms. Ciaran is the Co-Founder of TapTronic, a group known worldwide for its modern take on Irish dancing and electric performances. Ciaran is a two-time World Champion, three-time National Champion, and seven-time Regional Champion. At the age of 18, Ciaran was cast in Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance, where he performed as a principal dancer for over a decade. Ciaran is a certified TCRG and teaches dance at the Plummer Donaghy Academy of Irish Dance in Toronto with his wife, Maeve.

Vice President & Associate Choreographer

Camille Slaght

Camille is from Toronto and trained with Butler Fearon O’Connor and Gilchrist-Canavan. She holds a degree in Political Science and French Literature as well as a law degree, and works as a commercial lawyer at a global technology company. Camille is a certified TCRG and teaches dance at Scoil Rince Fainne Chladagh. A two-time world medal holder, Camille has won the regionals twice and the All-Scotlands. In her choreography, Camille explores themes such as community and connectedness through synchrony. Camille is thrilled to collaborate with talented artists here in Canada.

 

Associate Choreographer

Michaela Fernandes

Michaela is from Toronto, Ontario and trained with the Druid Academy. Michaela’s work is a unique, moving blend of contemporary, jazz, and Irish dance. She has placed in the top five at regionals and has competed at the World Championships five times. Michaela is also trained in Ballet, Contemporary Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop and has been a troupe member for Irish Dance Theatre’s A Celtic Gift, The American Company of Irish Dance, and The Barra MacNeils.

Michelle Pion

Michelle is from Ottawa, Ontario and trained with Sue Fay Healy. Michelle’s choreography highlights the strength of women through powerful movement and challenges gender roles. She has placed in the top five at regionals four times and qualified for the World Championships five times. Michelle has been a troupe member and choreographer with RNT Irish Dance and now enjoys teaching dance at Brenyo Irish Dance.

Secretary

Elizabeth Al-Jbouri

Elizabeth is from Newmarket, Ontario. Originally trained by Ni Fhearraigh-O’Ceallaigh in her hometown and then the Sue Fay Healy School of Irish Dance (Ottawa) during her undergraduate studies, Elizabeth now trains and teaches with Deirdre Hamilton (TCRG) and has completed the CLRG Diploma of the Irish Dancing Commission. Elizabeth is passionate about working with youth and has a Master of Arts Degree in Child & Youth Studies. She is currently finishing her PhD in the same field. Elizabeth is excited to apply her organizational skills and attention to detail to her role with the CIDC.
